Selena Gomez<\/a> is\u00a0celebrating body positivity and loving her shape in\u00a0all sizes. The star recently had a\u00a0candid discussion with her fans on\u00a0TikTok and explained how her health condition is\u00a0affecting her body. We\u00a0believe that Selena is\u00a0fabulous and the way she is\u00a0spreading acceptance and self-love is\u00a0making\u00a0us admire her even more.<\/p>\n

After getting a\u00a0lot of\u00a0comments about her body, the 30-year-old made a\u00a0live stream and explained<\/a> that her lupus medication causes a\u00a0lot of\u00a0weight fluctuations. <\/p>\n

Selena, who was diagnosed with lupus<\/a> back in\u00a02015, shared<\/a> that when she takes her medication, she tends to\u00a0\u201chold a\u00a0lot of\u00a0water weight, and that happens very normally.\u201d She then added, \u201cWhen I\u2019m off of\u00a0it, I\u00a0tend to\u00a0kind of\u00a0lose weight.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The singer and actress explained the reason why she\u2019s opening up\u00a0about her situation, saying<\/a>, \u201cI\u00a0just wanted to\u00a0encourage anyone out there who feels any sort of\u00a0shame for exactly what they\u2019re going through and no\u00a0one knows the real story.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued to\u00a0spread positivity to\u00a0her fans by\u00a0noting<\/a>, \u201cI\u00a0just want people to\u00a0know that you\u2019re beautiful, and you\u2019re wonderful.\u201d Gomez went on\u00a0to\u00a0admit that we\u00a0all have days where we\u00a0feel very down and low, and that is\u00a0totally normal.<\/p>\n

But she insists that our health should always be\u00a0a\u00a0priority. She shared, \u201cI\u00a0would much rather be\u00a0healthy and take care of\u00a0myself. My\u00a0medications are important, and\u00a0I believe that they\u2019re what helps\u00a0me.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The star then continued discussing her experience with body image and admitted<\/a>, \u201cNot a\u00a0model, never will\u00a0be.\u201d She made sure to\u00a0add that she believes models are \u201cawesome,\u201d but she is\u00a0just not a\u00a0model and doesn\u2019t expect herself to\u00a0look like one.<\/p>\n

Gomez concluded the video with a\u00a0kind message to\u00a0her fans, saying<\/a>, \u201cI\u00a0love you guys, and thanks for supporting me\u00a0and understanding.\u201d She added, \u201cAnd if\u00a0not, go\u00a0away, \u2019cause honestly\u00a0I don\u2019t believe in\u00a0shaming people for their bodies or\u00a0anything.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
