On Blender, the processor netted 558.59 points. While it lags behind the Ryzen 9 7950X on both counts, it doesn&#8217;t matter because neither test can take full advantage of its 3D V-cache. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"c9497981\">\n<p>With the AMD Ryzen 7 7900X3D and Ryzen 9 7950X3D launch date rapidly approaching, the processors&#8217; benchmarks have begun showing up online. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.notebookcheck.net\/AMD-Ryzen-9-7900X3D-spotted-on-Ashes-of-the-Singularity-benchmark-database.695035.0.html\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\">The former<\/a> was tested on Ashes of the Singularity yesterday, and now, the latter has made its Geekbench and Blender debut. <\/p>\n<p>Starting with <a href=\"https:\/\/browser.geekbench.com\/v5\/cpu\/20655028\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Geekbench<\/a>, the AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D scores 2,157 and 21,841 in the single and multi-core benchmarks, respectively. These figures are within spitting distance of its non-X3D counterpart. The 16-core, 32-thread processor maxes out at 5.6 GHz on a single core. Things get interesting in <a href=\"https:\/\/opendata.blender.org\/benchmarks\/query\/?compute_type=CPU&#038;blender_version=3.4.0&#038;group_by=device_name\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Blender<\/a>, where the AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D scores 558.59 points, trailing behind the Ryzen 9 7950 (590.28 points average). Again, it follows the trend seen in Geekbench, but that is to be expected because both processors are optimized for different workloads. <\/p>\n<p>While it is good to see where the AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D stands relative to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.notebookcheck.net\/AMD-Ryzen-9-7950X-Processor-Benchmarks-and-Specs.666269.0.html\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\">Ryzen 9 7950X<\/a>, Geekbench and Blender don&#8217;t tell the complete story as they can&#8217;t take advantage of the massive 144 MB of L2 + L3 cache on the processor.
