With Tom Brady (once again<\/a>) embracing retirement, it looks like he\u2019s going to be spending more time on his podcasting grind. However, during the latest episode of his\u00a0Let\u2019s Go!<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>podcast, the former NFL player made a comment about Janet Jackson\u2019s on-air wardrobe malfunction that didn\u2019t go over too well.<\/p>\n

Specifically, Tom proclaimed that the notorious incident\u2014which went down at the end of Janet and Justin Timberlake\u2019s 2004 Super Bowl halftime show performance\u2014was \u201cprobably a good thing for the NFL.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tom Brady Admits He \u2018Didn\u2019t See Anything\u2019 During The Incident<\/h3>\n

The subject came up as Tom and his co-hosts, Larry Fitzgerald and Jim Gray, innocuously chatted about whether Brady used to watch the halftime shows while playing.<\/p>\n

In response, Tom initially simply responded, I\u2019d much rather not see it when I\u2019m playing.\u201d<\/p>\n

He proceeded to mention the 2004 Super Bowl, which saw the New England Patriots go up against the Carolina Panthers. Tom specifically mentioned that, as he was preoccupied with the game during Janet\u2019s wardrobe malfunction, he \u201cdidn\u2019t see anything.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cEven I remember when we beat Carolina\u2026We came off the field and that was when we had the wardrobe malfunction with Justin Timberlake and Janet Jackson. [The media was] asking me about that. I couldn\u2019t even understand what they were telling me about. They said, \u2018Did you see the halftime show?\u2019 and I said, \u2018I didn\u2019t see anything.\u2019 I was thinking about the game.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

He Says Janet\u2019s Mishap \u2018Was Just More Publicity\u2019 For The NFL<\/h3>\n

However, Tom didn\u2019t stop there, as he then spoke on how Janet\u2019s wardrobe malfunction was \u201cprobably a good thing,\u201d as it produced \u201cmore publicity\u201d for the NFL.<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cI think in the end, it was probably a good thing for the NFL because everyone got to talk about it, and it was just more publicity and more publicity for halftime shows. Is any publicity bad publicity? That\u2019s what they say, so, who knows?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

We should note that, during a 2006 sit-down with Oprah<\/a>, Janet spoke on how \u201call the emphasis was put on [her]\u201d as opposed to Justin, who was the one who exposed her breast. As a result, she was \u201cblacklisted<\/a>\u201d while Justin \u201cwent on to have a flourishing career.\u201d<\/p>\n

Additionally, in her 2022\u00a0documentary<\/a>, she also noted, \u201cI have moved on and it\u2019s time for everyone to do the same.\u201d<\/p>\n
