He is offering a scholarship to one seeking to attend the Roc Nation School of Music, Sports, and Entertainment<\/strong> at Long Island University<\/strong> (LIU).<\/p>\n Updated by: Nicole Bartley (2\/10\/23 at 2:06 pm)<\/em><\/p>\n On Thursday, Feb. 9, Grammy Award<\/strong>-winning record executive and entrepreneur DJ Khaled <\/a>announced he will be offering a full tuition, four-year scholarship for a student seeking to attend the Roc Nation School of Music, Sports, and Entertainment<\/strong> at Long Island University<\/strong> (LIU).\u00a0<\/p>\n The We The Best<\/strong> founder joins a notable roster of other celebrities who have also provided scholarships, such as Megan Thee Stallion<\/a><\/strong>, 2021 NBA<\/strong> \u201cRookie of the Year\u201d LaMelo Ball<\/strong>, and Grammy Award<\/strong>-winning audio engineer and producer Gimel \u201cYoung Guru\u201d Keaton<\/strong>.<\/p>\n How To Apply<\/p>\n<\/h2>\n LIU<\/strong> continues to develop its acclaimed Roc Nation School Speaker Series<\/strong>, securing respectable additions, including Bronx native Fat Joe<\/a><\/strong> and many others.<\/p>\n Applicants will be expected to submit a written or video entry (three minutes max) answering the following questions:\u00a0<\/p>\n Applications for the scholarship officially opened at 3 pm on Feb. 9 at https:\/\/apply.liu.edu\/rn<\/a>. The new venture with Universal Music Group<\/strong> also named him Global Creative Consultant at an exclusive press event in Miami.<\/p>\n Welcome To Def Jam<\/p>\n<\/h2>\n DJ Khaled\u2019s imprint, We The Best<\/strong>, is now at Def Jam<\/strong>. Khaled will be leaving Sony Epic<\/strong> where he has released his last 5 albums, including the recent God Did<\/strong>. \u201cI had an amazing career over there,\u201d DJ Khaled spoke of his time with Epic Records. \u201cMy last five albums<\/a> have changed my life.\u201d<\/p>\n He also shouted out iconic record label executive, Sylvia Rhone.<\/p>\n \u201cWhat we did over there was beautiful,\u201d he continued. \u201cI appreciate the team over there and our friendship is forever.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n The rapper-producer was also named Global Creative Consultant<\/a>.
