The film is a sequel to Resident Evil: Vendetta, and is expected to premiere this summer.<\/p>\n<p>The plot of the film as described by Sony Pictures is as follows:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><em>D.S.O. agent Leon S. Kennedy is on a mission to rescue Dr. Antonio Taylor from kidnappers, when a mysterious woman thwarts his pursuit. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Meanwhile, B.S.A.A. agent Chris Redfield is investigating a zombie outbreak in San Francisco, where the cause of the infection cannot be identified. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The only thing the victims have in common is that they all visited Alcatraz Island recently. Following that clue, Chris and his team head to the island, where a new horror awaits them.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><cite>Sony Pictures<\/cite><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The film is <strong>directed by Eiichir\u014d Hasumi<\/strong>, with <strong>Makoto Fukami writing the screenplay<\/strong>. The film has an entirely original story and features characters from multiple games in the series. The project was supervised by the CAPCOM producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi.<\/p>\n<p>The English dub cast includes Matthew Mercer\u00a0as Leon S. Claire is investigating a child\u2019s drawing that she had found in a remote country. When she asks Leon about it, he tries to divert her.
