Google<\/a> and Microsoft, in separate surprise announcements, confirmed they plan to offer dueling generative AI debuts over the next two days. <\/p>\n

Today, Google unveiled a new ChatGPT-like chatbot named Bard<\/a>, as it races to catch up in the wake of ChatGPT\u2019s massive viral success (growing faster<\/a> than TikTok, apparently). In a blog post<\/a>, CEO Sundar Pichai that Bard is now open to \u201ctrusted testers,\u201d with plans to make it available to the public \u201cin the coming weeks.\u201d<\/p>\n

In addition, the company announced<\/a> a streaming event called\u00a0Live from Paris<\/a>\u00a0focused on \u201cSearch, Maps and beyond,\u201d to be livestreamed on YouTube at 8:30 am ET on February 8th. According to the description: \u201cWe\u2019re reimagining how people search for, explore and interact with information, making it more natural and intuitive than ever before to find what you need.\u201d <\/p>\n
