Google is holding an event about search and AI <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2023\/2\/2\/23583701\/google-search-ai-event-february-maps\">next week on February 8th<\/a>. And <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2023\/2\/2\/23583608\/google-chatgpt-competition-language-model-interaction-search-companion\">CEO Sundar Pichai\u2019s recent comments<\/a> really make it sound as though Google will soon let people interact with its AI technology in a way that\u2019s very similar to ChatGPT. <\/p>\n<p>As we prepare to welcome Sony\u2019s PSVR2 into the world later this month, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg wants you to know it hasn\u2019t forgotten about <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2023\/2\/3\/23584200\/meta-quest-3-mixed-reality-ar-vr-later-2023-consumer-headset\">its own Quest headset<\/a>. During Meta\u2019s earnings call, the CEO said the new headset would support its mixed reality tech when it launches later this year. <\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Finally, Aqara, a smart home company that announced a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2023\/1\/5\/23540309\/aqara-ces-2023-smart-home-matter-video-doorbell-sensor-lock-announcement-price?ref=upstract.com\">very interesting presence detection sensor at CES<\/a> this year, is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2023\/2\/3\/23584196\/aqara-matter-firmware-4-0-beta-update-instructions-date\">gearing up to support the new Matter smart home standard<\/a>.
