The adventures of Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal of The Last of Us<\/em>) will soon return as Disney+ released a new poster and featurette for the third installment of The Mandalorian<\/a><\/em><\/span>. The poster features The Mandalorian wielding the Darksaber on top of his spaceship, while the footage highlights the show as a global phenomenon.<\/p>\n

After two seasons, The Mandalorian\u00a0<\/em>is the most popular Star Wars\u00a0<\/em>series on Disney+. The third season\u2019s trailer registered 83.5 million views<\/a> within its first 24 hours, the most ever for a Lucasfilm show, shattering the record previously held by Obi-Wan Kenobi<\/em> with 58 million views. Even series creator Jon Favreau<\/a> (Iron Man<\/em>) admits that the show has taken on a life of its own, something he greatly appreciates.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m very proud of\u00a0The<\/em> Mandalorian<\/em>,\u201d Favreau said. \u201cIt\u2019s about becoming part of something larger than yourself.\u201d<\/p>\n

Season 3 will pick up after The Mandalorian reunited with Grogu in The Book of Boba Fett<\/a><\/em>. Now, The Mandalorian will travel across the galaxy to his home planet of Mandalore to reunite with old allies and seek forgiveness for removing his helmet.\u00a0Characters set to reappear in season 3 include Peli Motto (The Lion King\u2019s\u00a0<\/em>Amy Sedaris), Greef Karga (Rocky\u2019s\u00a0<\/em>Carl Weathers), The Armorer (SEAL Team\u2019s\u00a0<\/i>Emily Swallow), Moff Gideon (Better Call Saul\u2019s<\/em> Giancarlo Esposito), and Bo-Katan Kryze (Star Wars: The Clone Wars\u2019s <\/i>Katee Sackhoff)<\/p>\n

Favreau returns as showrunner alongside Dave Filoni (The Clone Wars<\/em>). The directorial lineup in season 3 features Lee Isaac Chung (Minari<\/em>), Rick Famuyiwa (Dope<\/em>), and Bryce Dallas Howard (Jurassic World Dominion<\/a><\/em>).<\/p>\n
