NeNe Leakes set the record straight \u2014 no pun intended \u2014 after her son Brentt seemingly came out as gay.<\/p>\n

\u201cBrentt is not gay,\u201d the \u201cReal Housewives of Atlanta\u201d alum said during a \u201cBreakfast Club\u201d interview<\/a> Monday. \u201cNot to my knowledge.\u201d<\/p>\n

Leakes, 55, shared that she spoke with the 23-year-old on the phone after receiving calls from friends who were \u201cconcerned\u201d about his TikTok video<\/a> on Saturday.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe called me up and was like, \u2018Mom, everybody is asking if I\u2019m gay because I did this TikTok thing,’\u201d she explained. \u201cAnd I said, \u2018It\u2019s OK if you are gay. It\u2019s fine with me.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd he was like, \u2018OK, Mom, I\u2019m not gay.’\u201d<\/p>\n

The former Bravolebrity said she didn\u2019t know \u201cwhat the big deal\u201d was, telling host Charlamagne tha God that Brentt\u2019s \u201chappiness is the most important thing.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added, \u201cI don\u2019t need to ask him, \u2018Are you gay?\u2019 What I like to say to people is \u2026 \u2018Whatever makes you happy.\u2019 If my son today says he\u2019s gay, I\u2019m 100 percent OK with it.\u201d<\/p>\n

The rumors began when Brentt posted a video of himself attempting to throw a wadded ball of paper into a trash can.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf I miss, I\u2019m gay,\u201d he captioned the footage, in which he missed, snapped his fingers and walked away from the camera.<\/p>\n

While some TikTok users speculated that the post was \u201cclearly a joke,\u201d others congratulated Brentt in the comments section.<\/p>\n

While Brentt has yet to speak to the speculation, he did repost his mom\u2019s interview via his Instagram Stories on Monday alongside crying-laughing emojis.<\/p>\n

Leakes welcomed her son in 1999 with her late husband, Gregg Leakes. They also shared son Bryson, 33. Gregg died of colon cancer<\/a> in September 2021 at age 66.<\/p>\n

Brentt made headlines last year when he suffered heart failure and a stroke<\/a>. He has since lost 100 pounds<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
