\n\tHBO<\/a> is developing the Le\u00efla Slimani novel \u201cThe Perfect Nanny<\/a>\u201d into a limited series. Maya Erskine<\/a> creates and writes the series, and will star opposite Nicole Kidman<\/a>. Both also serve as executive producers for the project, which comes from Legendary Entertainment along with HBO.<\/p>\n

\n\tPublished in 2016, \u201cThe Perfect Nanny\u201d was inspired by the real-life murder of Lucia and Leo Krim by their nanny in 2012. In the series, a seemingly perfect nanny goes to work for a couple with two young children, but her helpful personality eventually deteriorates into something sinister.<\/p>\n

\n\tErskine is best known for co-creating and starring in the Hulu comedy series \u201cPen-15\u201d with Anna Konkle. She is currently in production on \u201cMr. and Mrs. Smith\u201d at Amazon Prime Video, which she stars in opposite Donald Glover. Erskine\u2019s other prominent credits include playing Maggie in \u201cMan Seeking Woman\u201d on FXX, Mikki in \u201cBetas\u201d on Amazon Prime Video, Diane in \u201cInsecure\u201d on HBO and Sully in \u201cObi-Wan Kenobi\u201d on Disney+, as well as Alice in the 2019 movie \u201cPlus One.\u201d She is repped by Gersh, Mosaic, and Melissa Fox.<\/p>\n

\n\tKidman is best known for film roles including \u201cDead Calm,\u201d \u201cDays of Thunder,\u201d \u201cBatman Forever,\u201d \u201cEyes Wide Shut\u201d and \u201cThe Hours,\u201d which won her an Academy Award. Her most prominent TV role was starring as Celeste in HBO\u2019s \u201cBig Little Lies,\u201d with other small-screen credits including \u201cBangkok Hilton,\u201d \u201cThe Undoing\u201d and \u201cNine Perfect Strangers.\u201d Kidman is repped by CAA, Media Talent Group, Jackoway Tyerman, and The Lede Company.<\/p>\n

\n\tLe\u00efla Slimani, who along with \u201cThe Perfect Nanny\u201d has written the books \u201cAd\u00e8le,\u201d \u201cIn the Country of Others,\u201d \u201cSex and Lies\u201d and \u201cWatch Us Dance,\u201d is represented by Fr\u00e9d\u00e9rique Massart (Gallimard)<\/p>\n

\n\tKidman and Per Saari executive produce on behalf of Blossom Films alongside Erskine, Why Not Productions\u2019 Pascal Caucheteux and Pan-Europ\u00e9enne\u2019s Philippe Godeau. HBO and Legendary Entertainment co-produce the series.<\/p>\n
