\n\tAfter Lil TJay<\/a> was shot<\/a>, 50 Cent<\/a> reached out to the young artist with words of encouragement. <\/p>\n

\n\tDuring an interview with\u00a0Rolling Stone<\/em><\/a>, the 21-year-old entertainer recalled the moment he was shot, his time in the hospital, and how he \u201calmost caught a stroke\u201d from a bullet fragment.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI couldn\u2019t move. It was mad f**kin\u2019 cold in the blankets. Thirty ice packs and I can\u2019t move. I\u2019m already anemic. I was so cold when my temperature was so high,\u201d the Bronx native<\/a> expressed. \u201cI was scared to go back to sleep. I could feel the bullet, too. She\u2019s touching my neck, and I could feel a bullet, and I\u2019m like, \u2018Yo, this is crazy.\u2019 All I\u2019m thinking is, \u2018What? I got a story to tell.<\/a>\u2018\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHe recalled how some of Hip-Hop\u2019s OGs reached out to him with love. TJay specifically recalled Diddy and 50 showing compassion, with the latter even giving him advice.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cEvery artist needs pain or something to feed off of,\u201d the\u00a0Destined 2 Win<\/em>\u00a0singer remembered Fif reassuring him. \u201cThis right here, you shake this sh*t off. You got the length for greatness. You going to be bigger than ever.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\t50 Cent, much like Lil TJay, suffered from a near-fatal shooting in 2000, being shot nine times. However, the outspoken emcee<\/a> survived and channeled the traumatic experience and anger into his music to craft his debut classic album,\u00a0Get Rich Or Die Tryin\u2019<\/em>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tThe artist, n\u00e9e Tione Jayden Merritt, was shot at 14 The Promenade, an NJ shopping plaza. Merritt underwent\u00a0emergency surgery<\/a>\u00a0to treat his injuries and later revealed that he had been shot seven times.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI just want to say thanks for the love, thanks for the support, I\u2019ve been looking at the DMs,\u201d Tjay said in the Instagram clip, wearing a neck brace. \u201cSeven shots, it was tough, you know? Most people don\u2019t survive it, but I\u2019m here for a reason. New music is coming soon, we\u2019re going to come back stronger than ever. I love y\u2019all.\u201d<\/p>\n
