Hurricane Chris\u2019 Witnesses<\/p>\n<\/h2>\n

A Louisiana Judge decided he would allow a forensics expert to testify on behalf of the \u201cAy Bay Bay\u201d rapper and support him in his self-defense claims of the June 2020 shooting of Shreveport, La. native Danzeria O. Farris Jr., 32. Farris died of his wounds at Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport Hospital, according to Shreveport police reports.<\/p>\n

Hurricane Chris\u2019 Lawyer Statement<\/p>\n<\/h2>\n

The \u201cPlayas Rock\u201d artist\u2019s defense lawyer, Alex Washington, said his client\u2019s actions were in \u201cself-defense.\u201d Washington also added, \u201cHurricane Chris\u2019s actions were in self-defense and justified. Today, the court ruled to allow our forensic expert to testify at trial,\u201d he said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cHe (the judge) will allow the second expert to testify once we provide a written report to the state,\u201d Washington continued. \u201cBoth experts will assist in providing that Hurricane Chris\u2019 actions were reasonable and justified. Recently, Rapper Drake<\/strong> and five other rappers have been named<\/a> as witnesses in the murder case of the late Florida rapper XXXTentacion<\/a>. The rappers on the witness list include chart-topping rapper Drake, with whom X had an ongoing feud<\/a>\u2014and several others, including Chicago rapper 600 Breezy<\/strong>; Tekashi 6ix9ine;<\/strong> and Migos<\/strong> members: Quavo<\/strong>, Offset<\/strong> and the late Takeoff<\/strong>, who <\/a>died in November 2022.<\/p>\n
