{"id":597817,"date":"2023-01-15T14:50:32","date_gmt":"2023-01-15T20:50:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/news.sellorbuyhomefast.com\/index.php\/2023\/01\/15\/west-london-council-puts-375m-of-work-up-for-grabs\/"},"modified":"2023-01-15T14:50:32","modified_gmt":"2023-01-15T20:50:32","slug":"west-london-council-puts-375m-of-work-up-for-grabs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsycanuse.com\/index.php\/2023\/01\/15\/west-london-council-puts-375m-of-work-up-for-grabs\/","title":{"rendered":"West London council puts \u00a3375m of work up for grabs"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"wrapper_sleeve\">\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"620\" height=\"465\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.ca.emap.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2016\/05\/Generic_Housing-homes-Londo_660.jpg\"   alt=\"Generic_Housing-homes-Londo_660.jpg\">        <\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Kensington and Chelsea Council is looking for contractors to carry out \u00a3375m-worth of work on its property portfolio.<\/p>\n<p>The borough published an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.find-tender.service.gov.uk\/Notice\/000883-2023\">official notice<\/a> seeking interest in a framework agreement to start in the autumn and run for four years, with an option to extend to a further two years.<\/p>\n<p>Split into four lots, the framework will cover construction works such as planned maintenance, refurbishment and improvements to housing stock.<\/p>\n<p>Among the works envisaged are new builds, adaptations and civil-engineering works as well as the removal of asbestos and measures to address subsidence and other structural defects.<\/p>\n<p>The framework also includes work on windows, external facades, balconies, and kitchen and bathroom fittings.<\/p>\n<p>Although most of the properties are within Kensington and Chelsea, a small number are located beyond the borough boundary.<\/p>\n<p>Work will be divided into lots by value, with a maximum of three lots to be awarded to one tenderer:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Projects up to \u00a3500,000, with an estimated total value of \u00a325m<\/li>\n<li>Projects over \u00a3500,000 up to \u00a32m<\/li>\n<li>Projects over \u00a32m up to \u00a35m<\/li>\n<li>Projects over \u00a35m, with an estimated total value of \u00a3125m<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Tenderers can bid for the first lot only, or any combination of the remaining three lots.<\/p>\n<p>They have until 9 March to express interest in the work.
