\n\tThe Society of\u00a0LGBTQ\u00a0Entertainment Critics (GALECA) unveiled on Tuesday its 2023\u00a0Dorian\u00a0Award nominations, which recognize the best in mainstream and independent movies.<\/p>\n
\n\tA24\u2019s Everything Everywhere All at Once<\/em> leads with nine nominations, including for film of the year and LGBTQ film of the year. Focus Features\u2019 T\u00e1r<\/em> follows with seven noms, also for film of the year and LGBTQ film of the year. Searchlight\u2019s The Banshees of Inisherin<\/em> and A24\u2019s Aftersun<\/em> received five nominations each, both earning film of the year nods.<\/p>\n \n\tThe best director and best screenplay category features the same list of writer-director nominees: Daniels (Everything Everywhere<\/em>), Todd Field (T\u00e1r<\/em>), Martin McDonagh (Banshees<\/em>), Sarah Polley (Women<\/em> Talking<\/em>) and Charlotte Wells (Aftersun<\/em>).<\/p>\n \n\tThe Dorians, which adopted gender-neutral acting categories last year, nominated 10 performers for the film performance of the year: Cate Blanchett,\u00a0T\u00e1r<\/em>; Austin Butler, Elvis<\/em>; Viola Davis, The Woman King<\/em>; Danielle Deadwyler, Till<\/em>; Colin Farrell, The Banshees of Inisherin<\/em>; Brendan Fraser, The Whale<\/em>; Mia Goth, Pearl<\/em>; Paul Mescal, Aftersun<\/em>; Jeremy Pope, The Inspection<\/em>; and Michelle Yeoh,\u00a0Everything Everywhere<\/em> All at Once.<\/em><\/p>\n \n\tFemale performers nominated the supporting acting category.
