PRINCE Harry has stunned telly viewers with astonishing attacks on his step-mother Camilla \u2014 calling her \u201cthe villain\u201d who left \u201cbodies in the street\u201d.<\/p>\n

The Duke<\/a> said that she was ruthless in her pursuit of \u00admarriage to husband Charles<\/a>, and the Crown.<\/p>\n

A US TV interview on Sunday evening referred to Harry\u2019s biography in which he reportedly wrote about being \u201csacrificed\u201d on Camilla\u2019s \u201cpersonal P.R. altar\u201d.<\/p>\n

Harry, 38, was said to have \u201ccrossed Charles\u2019s red line\u201d after attacking the monarch\u2019s wife<\/a> while promoting his book, Spare<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The swipes at the Queen Consort<\/a>, 75, could now place his and Meghan\u2019s invite to the Coronation<\/a> in four months\u2019 time in peril.<\/p>\n

They will also fuel growing calls for the couple to be stripped of their Duke and Duchess titles.<\/p>\n

Speaking to CBS\u2019s Anderson Cooper, Harry said of Camilla: \u201cShe was the villain<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Referring to Charles and his mum Princess Diana, he added: \u201cShe (Camilla) was the third person in their marriage. She needed to rehabilitate her image.\u201d<\/p>\n

In his book, Harry wrote that Camilla was \u201cdangerous\u201d<\/a> as she tried to get better press coverage.<\/p>\n

He told CBS: \u201cThat made her dangerous because of the connections that she was forging within the British press.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd there was open willingness on both sides to trade of information.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd with a family built on hierarchy, and with her, on the way to being Queen Consort, there was gonna be people or bodies left in the street because of that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Harry accused Camilla of being \u201cin bed with the devil\u201d and alleged \u2014 wrongly, according to sources \u2014 that she leaked her first meeting with William.<\/p>\n

The Duke had already stunned the Palace by writing that he and elder brother William \u201cpleaded\u201d with their father<\/a> not to marry Camilla \u2014 and accusing her of leaking stories.<\/p>\n

Camilla and Charles, 74, were at Balmoral on Sunday night, when the TV interview was broadcast.<\/p>\n

An insider said: \u201cHarry spared his father but that has very little currency for Charles because he went after Camilla.<\/p>\n

\u201cHis wife was his red line and Harry knew that before he sat down for these interviews. Some of the allegations about leaking don\u2019t stand up to scrutiny as Camilla is not guilty in leaking her meeting with William.<\/p>\n

\u201cPalace staff are incredibly loyal to Camilla and this will go down like a lead balloon.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Royal Family was hailed for not responding to Harry\u2019s brickbats<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Sources also said the King cannot hit back because Harry keeps changing his story<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Speaking about Camilla in another pre-recorded interview, he told Good Morning America: \u201cWe haven\u2019t spoken for a long time.\u201d <\/p>\n

He added: \u201cYou know I love every member of my family despite the differences, so when I see her we\u2019re perfectly pleasant with each other. She\u2019s my stepmother, I don’t look at her as an evil stepmother,<\/p>\n

\u201cI see someone who married into this institution and has done everything that she can to, you know, improve her own reputation and her own image. For her own sake.\u201d<\/p>\n

Almost a year ago, Queen Elizabeth II<\/a> said it was her \u201csincerest wish\u201d that Camilla take on the title Queen Consort after her death.<\/p>\n

But Harry did say he has a \u201chuge amount of compassion\u201d for Camilla especially her being a \u201cthird person\u201d in his parents\u2019 marriage. <\/p>\n

Harry also revealed he \u201cdoesn\u2019t text\u201d William and he said of Charles: \u201cWe haven\u2019t spoken for quite a while\u201d.<\/p>\n

And he declared he and Meghan<\/a>, 40, will never move back to the UK and become working members of the Royal Family.<\/p>\n

He told Good Morning America: \u201cI don\u2019t think it\u2019s ever going to be possible. I don\u2019t think that even if there was an agreement or an arrangement between me and my family, there\u2019s that third party that\u2019s going to do everything they can to make sure that isn\u2019t possible \u2014 not stopping us from going back but making it unsurvivable.\u201d <\/p>\n

On CBS, Mr Cooper asked Harry \u2014 given his animosity to the monarchy \u2014 why he and Meghan did not just renounce their titles.<\/p>\n

The Duke fired back: \u201cAnd what difference would that make?\u201d<\/p>\n

The Sun understands stripping the pair of their titles is currently very unlikely.<\/p>\n

Kristina Kyriacou, a former communications secretary to Charles, said: \u201cI think the way the Royal Family has conducted themselves had been exemplary by not responding. They are damned if they do and damned if they don’t.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn my experience the King will take a long view and look at everything. By putting out a statement they can\u2019t possibly address absolutely everything Harry is saying from one day to the next.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt will just add fuel to the fire. In any event, from one day to the next Harry and Meghan’s narrative is changing.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI think Harry is going to end up hurting himself the most.”<\/p>\n
