Focus Entertainment<\/a> is undergoing a regime change.\u00a0Sean Brennan, a former managing director at\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Bethesda, has stepped in\u00a0<\/span>as CEO<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>to help the French publisher “achieve its strategic ambition,”\u00a0which also involves “delivering on the Group\u2019s most ambitious ever line-up of new games.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Brennan headed up all international publishing duties for 14 years at ZeniMax (Bethesda’s parent company) on titles such as\u00a0The Elder Scrolls Online\u00a0<\/em>and franchises like The Evil Within and Dishonored.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In his press statement, Brennan wrote that he would help “develop new, high-quality, owned IPs that will deliver a great gaming experience while creating value for the company.”<\/p>\n

Christophe Nobileau, Brennan’s predecessor, will remain with Focus as its Deputy CEO. Nobileau has been CEO for the company since\u00a0<\/span>October 2020.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Frank Sagnier, Focus’ new\u00a0vice-chairman, added that bringing Brennan on “represents considerable assets in accelerating the growth of the group on a global scale. In my new role as Vice-Chairman, I will focus my efforts on helping Sean with the execution of the external growth strategy.”<\/p>\n

Towards the end of 2022, Focus reported\u00a0several financial declines<\/a>\u00a0for the year’s second quarter. The publisher acknowledged that it was due to a shortage of releases.\u00a0But that was before Asobo’s\u00a0A Plague Tale:\u00a0Requiem\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Flying Wild Hog’s\u00a0Evil West\u00a0<\/em>came out, meaning its upcoming third quarter report on January 19 may factor in those two releases.<\/p>\n

That said, one game that did perform exceptionally well during that second quarter was\u00a0Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles:\u00a0Shredder’s Revenge\u00a0<\/em>from subsidiary Dotemu.<\/p>\n

In that same financial report, Focus wrote that 2023 “would feature the largest lineup in Focus history.”\u00a0Thus far, the publisher’s known games for 2023 include\u00a0Mundfish’s\u00a0Atomic Heart\u00a0<\/em>in February, Saber Interactive’s\u00a0Warhammer 40K:\u00a0Space Marine II,\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Deck 13’s\u00a0Atlas Fallen.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
