WEATHER: Very cold conditions, rain and thundershowers to hit two provinces

Wet, very cold and windy conditions are expected over the southern parts of the Free State and KwaZulu-Natal.
snowfalls are possible over the mountainous areas and rough seas along the coast.

KWAZULU-NATAL

Cloudy and cold to very cold conditions will bring scattered showers and rain, with snow expected over the western high ground.

The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southerly to southeasterly but strong in the north.

DURBAN

Durban is going to be cloudy with scattered showers and rain. Moderate south-westerly winds will blow, reaching gale force at times.

Temperatures will range from 13°C to 17°C.

Free State is going to be cloudy, windy and cold to very cold, with isolated showers and thundershowers, but scattered over the far east.

BLOEMFONTEIN

Bloemfontein is going to be cloudy and windy, with isolated showers and thundershowers.

Temperatures will range from a minimum of 2°C to a maximum of 13°C.

NORTH WEST

North West is going to be partly cloudy, windy and cool to cold, with isolated to scattered showers and thundershowers, except over the west.

MAHIKENG

Mahikeng is going to be partly cloudy and windy, becoming cloudy with isolated showers and thundershowers.

Temperatures will range from a minimum of 4°C. to a maximum of 14°C.
