Allah-Las will release their new album ‘Sirenas’ on August 28th.
The four-piece – Matt Correia, Spencer Dunham, Miles Michaud, and Pedrum Siadatian – met while working at Amoeba Music, the famed record shop in Los Angeles. Blending psych-pop with garage punk, tropicalia, and more, their sound blends way out effects with incisive songwriting.
Out on August 28th, new album ‘Sirenas’ was informed by different ways of viewing the creative process. Previously believing their approach to be akin to architects, the band have opted to follow Brian Eno’s statement that musicians have receptors, freeing themselves up from standards way of approaching the studio.
Permitting themselves renewed freedom, the results take Allah-Las in different directions. “That absence of intent led us down pathways we may have consciously avoided,” Michaud says.
Out on August 28th, the record contains recent single ‘Ultramarine‘ released earlier this year.
Set to hit the road for a co-headline tour with Real Estate, Allah-Las’ beautiful new single ‘Pt. Conception’ is out now, accompanied by a video directed by the band’s own Matt Correia.
