Harry Kane revealed his Bayern Munich contract renewal talks are going well, but does not want to rush the last “big contract” of his career.
Bayern began their Bundesliga title defence with a 5-1 win over Stuttgart on Friday, with Michael Olise, Dayot Upamecano, Aleksandar Pavlovic and Luis Diaz the scorers, along with an own goal from Josha Vagnoman.
Kane, who has entered the final year of his current deal with Bayern, failed to score with his two attempts, but did create two chances for his side.
The England international previously stated he intends to continue his career at Allianz Arena, though insisted his deal is one that cannot be rushed.
“The talks started last week – so far, so good. But this isn’t something that can be done in a week or two,” said Kane.
“It’s about the details. I’m 33, so this will probably be my last contract – well, big contract. It’s looking pretty good.”

Bayern were dominant against Stuttgart, scoring five goals from their expected goals (xG) tally of 4.06 and creating seven Opta-defined big chances.
Ismael Saibari also impressed on his Bundesliga debut, providing two assists off the bench to round off a resounding victory.
Saibari is the sixth player since data collection began (2004-05) to record two assists on his Bundesliga debut, following Luis Diaz, Robbie Kruse, Shinji Ono, Toni Kroos, and Diego (all with two each).
Vincent Kompany’s side broke the Bundesliga single-season goal record last term (122), though he refused to get ahead of himself after their big win over Stuttgart.
“That’s totally unimportant for me right now. The most important thing is the three points,” said the Bayern boss.
“It’s a bit in the DNA of this team to know where the goal is and always score more goals.
“We just want to continue what we’ve been doing in the past couple of years. We’ve shown a lot of energy, a lot of willingness. It’s just fun with this team.
“We just need to arrive to the decisive phase of the season with all our players fit. We managed that quite well last season.”
