Veterans from Critical Reflex, Gaijin Entertainment, and Nozomu Games have launched a new indie publishing label called Inner Pocket.
The fledging company is focused on bringing “intimate and engaging” experiences to market by providing partners with support covering go-to-market counsel, optimization, trailer production, user acquisition, localization, functional QA, platform relations, and more.
Last-mile investment will also be offered to partners who need extra help to finish, polish, and prepare their project for release on Steam. The label has explained that most projects it signs will need less than $75,000 in funding.
In addition, Inner Pocket intends to foster a passionate community by focusing on Steam curation and engaging with players on YouTube and Discord.
“We’re choosing a pretty specific niche from the start, and we’re going to be very picky about the games we publish,” said Inner Pocket co-founder, Yaroslav Kadyshen.

“At the same time, there are already great titles out there that capture exactly the kind of feeling we’re after. We want to help grow this space in two ways: as a publisher, by supporting developers making curiosity games and helping more of them get made; and as a curator, by surfacing the great ones that are already out there. The kind you still think about years later—the games you keep close to your heart.”
Nozomu Games’ occult deck-burner Burn With Me will become one of Inner Pocket’s debut titles when it lands in October.
