Real Salt Lake have transferred homegrown winger Zavier Gozo to English Premier League side Crystal Palace, the club announced Tuesday.
The 19-year-old US youth international departs for a reported club-record $15 million fee. RSL retain a sell-on percentage.
“Watching Zavier grow from our Academy into the player he is today has been a privilege for everyone at Real Salt Lake,” said sporting director Kurt Schmid. “He earned this opportunity through his relentless work ethic and character.
“This milestone is first and foremost a credit to his dedication, alongside the steady support of the teammates, coaches and staff who shared in his journey through the Academy, Monarchs and first team. We are incredibly proud of Zavier and excited for his future.”

The 2026 MLS All-Star was experiencing a breakout season. He co-leads RSL with 11 goal contributions (6g/5a) in 16 games, thriving as a wingback and attacker.
Gozo has spent his entire club career with RSL, initially starting with MLS NEXT Pro affiliate Real Monarchs before graduating to the first team.
In total, Gozo has made 50 appearances for RSL since debuting in 2023. He’s tallied 10g/9a during that span.
“It’s difficult to put into words what this club, the fans and this community mean to me,” said Gozo. “As a homegrown kid from Utah, Real Salt Lake has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. This is home. This is where I grew up. This is where I learned what it means to work, to sacrifice, to believe and to wear this crest with pride.
“No matter where this game takes me, Utah will always be part of who I am. Thank you to the front office, coaches and staff for their dedication to my development and the Miller family for their investment in the club and in me.”
Internationally, Gozo has represented the United States at every youth level from U-15 to U-23. He featured prominently at the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup, where he tallied 2g/1a as the US reached the quarterfinals.
Gozo’s strong start to the 2026 MLS season caught the eye of plenty of USMNT fans, as well as head coach Mauricio Pochettino, who included him on the team’s preliminary roster for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
At Crystal Palace, Gozo will join fellow US international and former FC Dallas defender Chris Richards.
