Philly rapper Tierra Whack charts her return on new mixtape ‘WHACK’S MUSEUM’, set to land on Juneteenth (June 16th) via Interscope Records.
Ahead of the mixtape’s release, Tierra encourages doubters to text her number (323-747-7544) with an apology, because, as she wrote on social media, “I never stopped believing in myself when you stopped believing in me.”
With the mixtape reveal, Tierra shares corrosive prelude single ‘WAX PAPER’. Combining her acerbic wordplay with the eerie pulse of an unearthly beat, the rapper takes aim at naysayers and critics while owning her power.
The accompanying music video, directed by Child and shot in Tierra’s native Philadelphia, restructures her hometown through a black-and-white lens and creates an immersive cinematic world that equals Tierra’s singular storytelling.
“Philadelphia isn’t polished,” says Child. “It’s a living museum held together by grit, community, and memory. We kept coming back to old hip-hop videos, chasing that feeling Wu-Tang captured in the ’90s—raw, cinematic, and deeply rooted in the places and people that shaped it. Every frame feels lifted from the soul of the culture there, a snapshot of resilience, rhythm, and truth.”
‘WHACK’S MUSEUM’ is Tierra’s first project since her acclaimed 2024 debut album, ‘WORLD WIDE WHACK’.
