The issue of crap public transport in Dublin is back in the news yet again.

WITH CONCERT SEASON well underway in the capital city, the level of grumbling about public transport issues to and from some of the major gigs in Dublin has turned into a tidal wave.
In particular, issues have been highlighted for punters attending gigs in Marlay Park and St Anne’s Park.
Fine Gael TD Grace Boland highlighted this week that many fans were left soaked and stranded after the David Byrne concert in St Anne’s Park earlier this month due to a shortage of taxis and buses that didn’t show up.
She also noted that for the CMAT and Snow Patrol concerts held at the end of May, Dart services only ran as far as Connolly Station due to scheduled line works taking place across the bank holiday weekend.
Writing in the Irish Times, columnist Emer McLysaght chronicled her disastrous journey home from the CMAT gig, which included a three-hour walk and a €40 taxi after waiting for a series of Dublin Buses that never arrived.
