Air Peace Opens New Regional Routes to Boost Trade and Tourism

Air Peace has announced the launch of new scheduled flights from Lagos to Douala, Libreville, Bamako, and Conakry as part of efforts to strengthen regional connectivity, trade, tourism, and business travel across West and Central Africa.

The airline said the new routes will begin on August 1, 2026, expanding its regional network and positioning Lagos as a stronger aviation hub for passengers travelling within Africa and beyond.

Under the new schedule, the Lagos–Douala–Libreville–Douala–Lagos route will operate four times weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

Flights on the route will depart Lagos at 8:00 a.m. and arrive in Douala at 9:30 a.m. The aircraft will then leave Douala at 10:10 a.m. and arrive in Libreville at 11:30 a.m. For the return journey, the flight will depart Libreville at 12:10 p.m., arrive in Douala at 1:30 p.m., leave Douala at 2:10 p.m., and land in Lagos at 3:40 p.m.

The Lagos–Bamako–Conakry–Bamako–Lagos route will operate three times weekly on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

According to the schedule, flights will leave Lagos at 7:00 a.m. and arrive in Bamako at 8:30 a.m. The service will then depart Bamako at 9:10 a.m. and arrive in Conakry at 10:50 a.m. On the return leg, the flight will leave Conakry at 11:30 a.m., arrive in Bamako at 1:10 p.m., depart for Lagos at 1:50 p.m., and arrive at 5:20 p.m.

Lagos Hub to Link More African Cities

Through its Lagos hub, Air Peace said passengers from Douala, Libreville, Bamako, and Conakry will be able to connect easily to several destinations across Nigeria.

These domestic connections include Abuja, Port Harcourt, Benin, Enugu, Owerri, Kano, Asaba, Gombe, Ibadan, Yola, Maiduguri, and other major cities.

The airline said the new services will also connect passengers to its growing international network, including London Gatwick in the United Kingdom and Caribbean destinations such as Antigua and Barbados.

This wider connectivity is expected to support business travel, tourism, education, family visits, investment, and trade between Africa and other global markets.

Air Peace Says Expansion Will Support Regional Integration

Speaking on the development, Air Peace Management said the new regional routes reflect the airline’s commitment to connecting Africa through safe, reliable, and affordable air transport.

“The launch of these new regional services underscores our commitment to connecting Africa through safe, reliable, and affordable air transportation,” the airline said.

It added that expanding across West and Central Africa would create more travel options for passengers while supporting commerce, tourism, investment, and regional integration.

According to the airline, Lagos remains central to its network strategy because it allows passengers to connect more easily between African cities and international destinations.

Airline Expands Domestic Flights for Summer 2026

In addition to the new regional routes, Air Peace has also announced an expansion of its domestic operations for the 2026 summer season.

The airline said the revised schedule will introduce more frequencies, better connectivity, and increased seat capacity across major routes in Nigeria.

Under the new domestic schedule, the Lagos–Abuja route will operate up to seven times daily, while Lagos–Owerri will have up to four daily flights.

Other routes will also see increased frequencies. Lagos–Asaba will operate up to three times daily, while Lagos–Benin, Lagos–Warri, Lagos–Enugu, Abuja–Owerri, and Abuja–Asaba will operate up to two times daily.

The airline said the expanded schedule will be operated with its modern fleet of next-generation aircraft, designed to improve comfort, reliability, and operational efficiency.

More Flights for Business and Leisure Travellers

Air Peace said the additional flights are aimed at meeting rising travel demand during the summer season and giving passengers more flexible travel options.

“As travel demand continues to rise during the summer season, we are strategically increasing capacity and frequencies on key domestic routes to better serve our customers,” the airline said.

It added that the new schedule will provide greater flexibility, improved travel options, and more convenient flight times for both business and leisure travellers.

The airline said its goal remains to connect people, businesses, and communities while offering a better travel experience at affordable fares.

With the new regional routes and expanded domestic frequencies, Air Peace is strengthening its role in African aviation and deepening Lagos’ position as an important gateway for trade, tourism, and international travel.
