Duff-Baby House: The City of Windsor invites the public to celebrate the reopening of the Duff-Baby House, with free public tours on Saturday, May 30, from 12 to 4 p.m. in Sandwich Town. Visitors can explore the site through free, self-guided tours and check out the new exhibits. The Duff-Baby House was built in 1798 and is recognized among the most significant late eighteenth-century landmarks in Upper Canada. Additional tour dates at citywindsor.ca.

Ready, set, go! Windsor’s Erie Street turns into a high-speed cycling circuit on Sunday, May 31 for the 64th Tour Di Via Italia race. The long-running international street race features competitors from across North America, with races for elite and novice riders as well as kids. Spectators can catch all the action alongside the course or from restaurant and cafe patios. Visit tourdiviaitalia.org for more.

Lace em’ up: Canada’s most southern half marathon takes runners to Pelee Island on Saturday, May 30 for a scenic island race in the middle of Lake Erie. The 12th annual run is limited to 400 participants. Registration includes a finisher medal, long-sleeve recovery hoodie, and a ticket to a post-run celebration at Pelee Island Winery. Guest tickets are available for the winery luncheon, priced at $65 for adults and $55 for kids under 11. Register at raceroster.com.

Film Fest:  The 23rd Windsor Jewish Film Festival hits the Capitol Theatre May 31 to June 4. This year’s festival features a lineup of international films about Jewish life through comedy, drama and documentaries. Sunday kicks off with Guns and Moses, a crime thriller about a small-town rabbi who becomes a gunslinger. What are you doing in my swamp? The Windsor-Essex Community Arts Project (WECAP) presents Shrek Jr. The Musical, a family-friendly adaptation of the hit Broadway show and DreamWorks film. It follows a grumpy green ogre and his chatty sidekick, Donkey, on a quest to rescue Princess Fiona and to reclaim their peaceful swamp from misfits. Playing at the Masonic Temple Ballroom (986 Ouellette Ave.) on Friday, May 29, from 7:30 to 9 p.m.; Saturday, May 30, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. and 7:30 to 9 p.m.; and Sunday, May 31, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Admission is $25 for adults and $20 for students and seniors.
