Paris FC head coach Liam Rosenior is excited “to be part of this adventure” as he prepares for his first season in charge of the club.

Rosenior signed a two-year contract with Paris FC in his first coaching role since being sacked as Chelsea boss back in April.

The 42-year-old won just 11 of his 23 games in charge of the Blues (D2 L10), who finished the 2025-26 Premier League season 10th under interim head coach Calum McFarlane.

Rosenior does bring Ligue 1 experience to the role, previously managing Strasbourg, who have the same owners as Chelsea.

He won 49.2% of his games as Strasbourg boss (W31 D15 L17) before making the switch to the Blues.

Rosenior is now looking forward to managing in the French top-flight again, and he has big plans at Paris FC.

“Ligue 1 is a fantastic league,” Rosenior said at a press conference.

“When I left Chelsea, and this project was presented to us here, it was very difficult to refuse such a project with so much ambition and such great potential. It’s being built, and it’s growing. It’s exciting to be part of this adventure.

“The most important thing is not the system but the game ideas we want to implement. Regardless of the system, it’s about bringing the game ideas we want to deploy.

“It doesn’t matter what we did in Strasbourg and at Chelsea. The ideas will be the same, but the systems different. The most important thing is the players and their adaptability.

“We want to dominate as many aspects of the game as possible, to get the better of the opponent, in possession, in transitions, to be aggressive.

“We want to do all this without forgetting the support and development of the players, to help them progress while having them apply our ideas of play.”
