Super Eagles striker Akor Adams has been a major subject of Sevilla’s transfer news this summer, with his future hanging in the balance, Soccernet.ng reports.
The Nigerian striker has been linked with several clubs in recent weeks. Olympique Marseille in France, Venezia in Italy, and Sunderland in England have been touted as potential destinations, but none of the speculation has yielded fruit just yet.
The interest in Adams is understandable, as he is coming off a brilliant campaign that saw him contribute ten goals and three assists in 32 La Liga games.

Los Nervionenses would love to keep him, but difficult financial constraints in La Liga have forced them to sell their best players over the last two years, and Adams is set to follow that trend.
The Super Eagles star is expected to fetch them around €25 million in the transfer market this summer. The club would need to sign a replacement to lead the line next season, and it appears they may have found their man.
Soccer Sevilla Identify Replacement for Akor Adams
According to Elgoldigital, Sevilla have identified Leicester City’s Zambian striker, Patson Daka, as a potential replacement for Akor Adams.
The 27-year-old marksman had high prospects when he joined Leicester City from Salzburg in 2021.
However, he has struggled to live up to expectations, producing 29 goals and 18 assists in 165 appearances. Across his career, he has recorded 105 goals and 52 assists in 319 club games.
Despite his struggles in England, Los Nervionenses appear willing to take a risk on him, especially since he will be a free agent this summer.

Daka and Adams share similar qualities, albeit the latter has proven to be more clinical. Daka is fast and physical, but can be frustrating in front of goal. It remains to be seen if the club decides to proceed with the deal.
Meanwhile, Adams will be hoping that his future is sorted soon so that he can start the pre-season fully focused on his football.
