Tinubu Will Work With Me If I Defeat Him – APC Presidential Aspirant, Osifo

A presidential aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Stanley Osifo, has said President Bola Tinubu will work with him if he defeats the incumbent President in the party’s presidential primary.

Naija News reports that Osifo, who is contesting the APC presidential ticket ahead of the 2027 general election, said there was no crisis or fight within the ruling party over the race.

He stated this during an interview on Arise News.

Osifo said he could not presently determine his chances against Tinubu, adding that the outcome of the primary would decide the strength of his ambition.

He said incumbency would not automatically guarantee victory for any aspirant.

Osifo said, “For chances I can’t really state or detect now, I think the day of the election will really tell the extent or the level of chance I have against him.

“Being an incumbent is not a guarantee that the election is going to go his way or my way, but one thing that is important is that we are one party and we are not fighting ourselves.”

The APC aspirant said he would make himself available to work with Tinubu if the President wins the party’s primary.

He also said Tinubu would be expected to work with him if he emerged as the APC candidate.

He said, “We are members of the All Progressives Congress, so if I defeat him at the end of the day, I think he also has to work with me.

“And if he wins the same thing, I will work with him and support him. So we’re not fighting in the All Progressives Congress, it is one party, and I strongly believe that we have an understanding amongst ourselves as APC members.”

Osifo is currently the only known aspirant contesting the APC presidential ticket with Tinubu ahead of the 2027 elections.

He maintained that the ruling party remained united despite internal contest for its presidential ticket.

Bitcoin rose 2% on CLARITY progress while Coinbase, Circle jumped over 8% – but why?
