Thibaut Courtois has reiterated his “dream” to finish his career at Real Madrid, but acknowledged the decision is out of his hands.
Courtois joined Madrid from Chelsea in 2018 and has since played a key role in their success, particularly under both Zinedine Zidane and Carlo Ancelotti.
The Belgian has made 333 appearances for the Spanish giants in all competitions, lifting 12 major honours in the process, including three LaLiga titles and two Champions Leagues.
Courtois has kept 129 clean sheets in all competitions, while his 96 in LaLiga since his debut is the fifth-highest tally among goalkeepers in the top five European leagues.
His current contract is due to run out in June 2027, meaning he is heading into his final year following the World Cup.

The 34-year-old has no plans to leave Madrid – now led by Jose Mourinho – in the near future, with hopes he can retire in the Spanish capital, but he acknowledged the club will make the final decision.
“It depends on what the club wants. I have a lot of respect for what they do,” he told reporters.
“I hope to be able to finish my career there. In four or five years, we’ll see. It’s my dream, obviously.
“When I was a child, I dreamed of playing for Real Madrid. I’ve been there for eight years now, and I’m very happy.”
