Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has hinted that he’s not averse to playing for another club in the future, putting the big guns like Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain on alert, Soccernet.ng reports.
The 27-year-old’s goalscoring record since he moved to Napoli in 2020 has seen him rated amongst Europe’s elite strikers, and while he continues to claim he’s happy at Galatasaray, there might be positions for him at other clubs.
Real Madrid recently saw their €150m bid for Julian Alvarez rejected by Atletico Madrid, while Barcelona need a world-class striker as they’ll be without Robert Lewandowski next season.

Yesterday, Turkish journalist Levent Tüzemen opened up on the conversation he had with Galatasaray’s president, Dursun Özbek, about the possibility of allowing the striker to leave when an offer comes in.
“I asked Dursun Özbek about Osimhen; he said, ‘No matter what offer comes in, I won’t sell him. We’re aiming for our 27th championship,” the 68-year-old said on the Libero TV YouTube channel.
“They said their goal is to be among the top eight clubs in Europe, or even the semi-finals. The team will be built accordingly,” Tüzemen added.
However, despite the firm stance of the club’s president, the former Napoli man, on a recent livestream, admitted he’s happy at RAMS, but stated anything can happen in the future.
“For me, I’m happy there [at Galatasaray],” the 2023 CAF Player of the Year said.
“That’s the most important thing for me right now, but you never know what the future might bring,” Osimhen concluded.
What Osimhen’s statement means for Real Madrid and PSG
Paris Saint-Germain have already won consecutive UEFA Champions League titles, becoming the first team to do so since Real Madrid in 2017. With Victor Osimhen in their fold, they stand a chance of joining Los Blancos on the elite list of teams to have three-peated Europe’s most coveted club trophy.
While the Nigerian won’t come cheap, Bradley Barcola’s desire to leave, with interest from Arsenal and Liverpool lurking, might free up space for Le Parisien to lodge another bid for Osimhen, as they did previously when he was still at Napoli.
Osimhen’s signing also clears up the topic of adjusting to life in Ligue 1, as he already thrived at the club when he signed for LOSC Lille from SC Charleroi in 2019.
Should Barcola head to the English Premier League, Osimhen and Goncalo Ramos can take over as the number 9’s for Luis Enrique’s side while Kvicha Kvaratskhelia, Desire Doue, Ousmane Dembele and Lee Kang-In provide solid options on the wing.
A move to the Santiago Bernabeu comes with several complications. Real Madrid already have Endrick, Goncalo Garcia and Kylian Mbappe in Osimhen’s position.
While their new coach, Jose Mourinho, is known to prefer strong and physical strikers who can hold the ball down in physical duels, bringing the Super Eagles forward can get tricky very quickly.

Osimhen wouldn’t agree to be second-choice behind Mbappe, and the Frenchman wouldn’t agree to playing out wide.
Florentino Perez still has €150m in the bank, specifically kept aside for a ‘world-class’ striker. With Julian Alvarez and Erling Haaland out of reach, it only makes sense for Victor Osimhen to be the next player on his list, but the structure for the arrival of the Galatasaray striker is absent.
A decision will most likely be made about the striker’s future after the 2026 FIFA World Cup, but for now, it appears he’ll continue next season at RAMS Park.
