Troops Arrest Cattle Rustler, Recover 18 Stolen Cattle in Kano

Troops of 1 Division of the Nigerian Army have arrested a suspected cattle rustler and recovered 18 stolen cattle in Shanono Local Government Area of Kano State.

Military sources said the suspect was apprehended at about 6:30 p.m. on May 25 during a routine patrol in the Tsauren general area.

According to the sources, the suspect allegedly stole the cattle from a civilian in Mangafi area of Musawa Local Government Area of Katsina State.

The sources added that the rustler was intercepted while attempting to move the animals towards the Gwarzo axis.

They further disclosed that the suspect and recovered cattle were currently in the custody of troops for further investigation and necessary action.
