He made this  call in Abuja on Wednesday,  May 27,  2026 in his Sallah Message to Nigerians.

The EFCC’s boss  stressed that while celebrating and sharing goodies accompanying the festival,  there is a need to refresh and strengthen our hearts with the ideals of transparency and anti-corruption as important virtues that can move the nation forward.

He pointed out that every religion promotes honesty and accountable conduct and the Sallah festival should awaken such ideals in every Nigerian.

“As we celebrate.  Let us attune our hearts  to the ideals of transparency and anti-corruption in a renewed way.  Greed is not a creed of any religion.  Honesty draws us closer to Allah and we must exemplify it always,”  he said.
