The Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board Under-13
class 2026 will take centre stage today in the Vasha Foods Under-13 North/South Classic.
The event will bowl off from 10 a.m. at the National Cricket Centre in Balmain, Couva.
The North versus South showdown throws up the leading cricketers from the recently-concluded Inter-Zone Tournament which was jointly sponsored by bMobile and the TTCB.
Although Cricket West Indies does not have a regional tournament for this age group, president of the TTCB Azim Bassarath has proposed a three-team tournament in Trinidad. Bassarath is hoping that Jamaica and the Leeward Islands will join T&T for this inter-regional contest.
For the past three years the TTCB has engaged Guyana in U-13 contests at home and away, and Jamaica here in Trinidad.
Today’s match will be 50 overs per side and awards will be up for grabs for the outstanding individual performances.
