Super Eagles midfielder Tochukwu Nnadi has emerged as a transfer target for several English Premier League clubs this summer, Soccernet.ng reports.
Nnadi has been the subject of persistent transfer speculation surrounding Marseille over the past few months. He joined the former Ligue 1 champions from Zulte Waregem during the January transfer window in a deal worth €6 million.
At the time, the club viewed the Nigerian as a prospect for the future, believing that he would require time to adapt before breaking into the first team.
That adaptation period proved necessary, as manager Habib Beye did not hand Nnadi his first start until April 2026. Although Nnadi produced several impressive performances toward the end of the season, his individual brilliance was largely overshadowed by Les Phocéens’ disappointing finish to the campaign.
At some point, it looked like they could challenge for the league title, but they ultimately finished 5th, missing out on Champions League football by two points.
With Marseille expected to undergo a coaching shake-up this summer, Nnadi’s future at the Stade Vélodrome has become increasingly uncertain.
According to Get French Football News (GFFN), Nnadi could be heading for the exit door this summer, with the Premier League emerging as a potential destination for the talented midfielder.
Should Marseille appoint a new manager who cannot guarantee Nnadi consistent playing time, the Super Eagles star is reportedly prepared to explore his options away from the club despite having four years left on his current deal.
Marseille will be very careful with how they treat the situation though, because the Super Eagles star has shown flashes of brilliance. And given the fact that he is just 22, there is still room for improvement. Moreover, if they decide to sell now, they might not make any profit on the €6 million they spent on him in January.
