May Auto Sales: Hero MotoCorp dispatches 5.70 lakh units; global business jumps 78%

Two-wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp Ltd on Monday (June 1, 2026) reported dispatches of 570,068 units in May 2026, compared with 507,701 units in the same period last year. Domestic retail momentum remained strong during the month, with 496,957 VAHAN registrations, based on VAHAN data excluding Telangana as of June 1, 2026.

The company’s overall domestic motorcycle and scooter business recorded around 10% dispatch growth year-on-year, driven by strong performance in the Deluxe 125cc, premium motorcycle and scooter segments, each registering double-digit growth.

Hero MotoCorp also launched the all-new Super Splendor XTEC 2.0 during the month, expanding its 125cc portfolio with updated technology and rider-focused features.

The Global Business segment reported dispatches of 33,284 units, registering around 78% year-on-year growth, supported by demand across international markets and the expansion of its premium product portfolio.

Hero MotoCorp’s emerging mobility brand VIDA reported 19,052 VAHAN registrations in May 2026, delivering 166% retail growth year-on-year. VIDA also commenced retail operations of the DIRT.E K3 in select markets, expanding its electric mobility product range and accessibility.

Shares of Hero Motocorp Ltd ended at ₹4,821.00, down by ₹77.40, or 1.58%, on the BSE.
