Betting industry preparations for the World Cup are ramping up, with sportsbook solutions firm BETBY the latest to get product enhancements underway.

The FIFA World Cup is, unsurprisingly, one of the biggest events of the sporting calendar of the betting industry, but this year the battle for player acquisition is expected to be more fierce than usual – among both regulated operators and against the unlicensed market.

For its own pre-World Cup preparation, BETBY has launched a package of solutions around the tournament encompassing a pre-priced structure across all potential nation-v-nation matchups and microbetting.

The company states that its package will allow players to bet on various match outcomes including throw-ins, fouls, corners, offsides, goals and goal kicks, as it expects ‘at least 90 intervals’ per game throughout the month-long, 48 nation tournament.

“As the biggest sports event worldwide, the World Cup is as much about preparation as it is about execution,” said Chris Nikolopoulos, BETBY’s Chief Commercial Officer.

“By being the first B2B sportsbook provider to make the full tournament bracket available ahead of the draw, we’re giving operators a clear advantage: the ability to start engaging players earlier and build momentum well before kickoff.

“At the same time, other features like microbetting and our eWorld Cup ensure that engagement stays high throughout every stage of the competition. We’re delivering a complete content portfolio that allows our partners to maximize both player activity and revenue across the entire World Cup cycle.”

BETBY’s preparations for the World Cup come amid a wave of preparations for the tournament, as discussed above. Other B2B firms like GR8 Tech have been undertaking similar efforts, as have many B2C operators.

For its part, BETBY is also looking to integrate its background in esports into its own World Cup experience. The firm has developed an ‘eWorldCup’, seeking to replicate all World Cup tournament matches in a high-frequency esports setting.
