The Houston Rockets are on the road on Wednesday night as they travel to take on the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 5 of their first-round series.
For the Rockets, they enter Wednesday’s game trailing 1-3 in the series after defeating the Lakers at home in Game 4 on Sunday night to keep their season alive.
Now Houston will look to grab another victory in Game 5 on the road in Los Angeles on Wednesday as they try to extend the series once again.
While the Rockets are looking to pick up a victory on the road in Game 5 on Wednesday, they will be without multiple key players, including one of their stars, due to injuries.
Rockets rule out Kevin Durant for Game 5
For the Rockets, they have three players listed on their injury report for Wednesday’s game, including star forward Kevin Durant.
Houston has ruled out Durant due to a left ankle sprain and bone bruise as he will miss his second straight game and third of the series.
With Durant sidelined once again, Tari Eason, Reed Sheppard, Dorian Finney-Smith and Josh Okogie could all continue to have increased roles.
The Rockets have also ruled out Fred VanVleet as he remains sidelined due to a torn ACL while Steven Adams will miss the remainder of the season while recovering from ankle surgery.
