Will Lankshear could be given the chance to play for the Tottenham Hotspur first team next season after the 21-year-old striker impressed during his loan spell at Oxford United, according to Football Insider.
Journalist Pete OāRourke said: āIām sure thereās clubs that are keeping tabs on Lankshear because of how well he did at Oxford on loan.
āLankshearās very highly regarded at Tottenham, they feel that heās got a real chance of making the breakthrough there as well.
āObviously no decision will be taken on his long-term future until Tottenham have clarity on which division theyāre going to be in for next season as well.
āUntil Tottenham know where theyāre going to be, thereāll be no decisions made on any players.
āLankshear will be hoping that itās a clean slate for everybody this summer and he could be given an opportunity to try and stake a claim to become a regular in that Tottenham team.
āThat could happen regardless of what league theyāre in, even if they stay in the Premier League, if De Zerbi is impressed by what he sees in pre-season.
āBut equally Iām sure thereāll be a host of clubs in England and abroad who would be interested in signing the England under-21 international on loan again.ā
