The restaurant is owned by Diala Michael and her mother, Carolyn Michael, whose Mediterranean heritage fuels their passion for this new venture.

The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill also specializes in catering large parties, events and meetings. It’s perfect for family gatherings, offering memorable, mouth-watering Mediterranean spreads complete with bold flavors that leave a lasting impression. Diala is finishing a master’s degree in Ancient Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Chicago before joining the business full time. Her mother, Carolyn, has owned three restaurant franchises and enjoys working with food and people. Carolyn’s success in the restaurant business inspired Diala to team up with her in opening their own location of The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill. Both Diala and Carolyn love to travel to different parts of the Mediterranean and are passionate about sharing the foods that they enjoy in their own home and as part of their travels.

As part of the Bolingbrook launch celebrations, The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill invites the public to attend a grand opening ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, May 21 at 4:30 p.m. The owners will also be donating 15% of sales on the day to the Northern Illinois Food Bank.
