It’s almost impossible to get away from mosquitoes but I swear by Marmite as an effective repellant (eaten not applied) my wife takes Vit B supplements which seems to have the same effect.
The electric bug repellants are only safe for pets who are at least 7 kg. That leaves out most cats and many small dogs. Be sure to read the directions!
