Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen was the hero for Galatasaray against Antalyaspor, scoring a brace after an early scare to seal the club’s 26th league title at RAMS Park, Soccernet.ng reports.
The 27-year-old joined Okan Buruk’s side on loan last season and won the Turkish Super Lig title. Now, he’s replicated the feat again. This time, he chose to thank former Galatasaray goalkeeper Fernando Muslera for helping him settle in Istanbul last year.
Muslera joined Galatasaray in 2011 and played over 550 games before leaving the club last season. In his time there, he won the league eight times.

Soccer Victor Osimhen lauds Fernando Muslera
After his brace helped Galatasaray to the league title triumph, Osimhen went on Instagram live to celebrate with his online fans. Muslera joined in, and the former Napoli man revealed how the goalkeeper helped him during their time together at RAMS Park.
“Muslera, that’s my captain right there; I need to say something about him.
“This guy is a big legend in the dressing, always motivating us even if he’s far away,” the 2023 CAF Player of the Year said.

“He’s actually one of the few people that are attached to this great club, he’s a big legend, we miss him.
“Hopefully, one of these days, he comes back. Thank you.
“Muslera embraced me when I came here [ to Galatasaray] like a real man, and I was like a little boy. He took me as his own, and I appreciate it. Thank you again,” Victor Osimhen concluded.

Fernando Muslera made his debut for the Uruguay national team in 2009 and accrued 134 appearances before retiring in 2024. However, he was recently called up for his country’s friendly games against England and Algeria two months ago.
