However, Kolkata Knight Riders came out all guns blazing as openers Finn Allen and captain Ajinkya Rahane dominated the Powerplay. The duo stitched together a quickfire 69-run opening partnership, setting the tone for a high-scoring encounter.

Rohit Sharma turned back the clock with a stunning 78 off 38 balls, featuring six fours and six sixes, registering his 50th fifty-plus score in IPL history. At the other end, Rickelton justified his selection with a match-winning 81 off 43 deliveries, smashing four boundaries and eight sixes.

KKR managed to break the partnership with Vaibhav Arora dismissing Rohit, while a sharp fielding effort from Anukul Roy led to Rickelton’s run-out. However, quick contributions from Suryakumar Yadav (16 off 8) and Tilak Varma (20 off 14) ensured the chase stayed on track.

In the final moments, as pressure slightly mounted, Hardik Pandya and Naman Dhir kept their composure to guide Mumbai Indians home with five balls to spare, sealing a memorable win.
