A man was killed in a highway crash near the Munroe Road Flyover on Sunday afternoon after a pickup crossed the median and slammed into an oncoming car.
Dead is Michael King, the driver of a black Kia Cerato.

Police said King was driving north with his wife, Severina Farrah Francois of Lopinot Road, when the collision occurred shortly after 4 p.m.
Investigators said a black 4X4 pickup, driven by a 22-year-old man of Bamboo No. 3, Valsayn, was travelling south near the Munroe Road Flyover.
Also in the pickup was a passenger, a 24-year-old woman.

According to police, the pickup went out of control, crossed the median and collided with King’s vehicle.
King was crushed in the vehicle, and succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
He had to be cut out of the wreckage.
Francois and the occupants of the pickup were critically injured and taken for medical treatment.
Dash cam footage circulating on social media appeared to show the pickup moving from the fast lane into the slow lane moments before the driver lost control.
The vehicle then veered into the opposite lane, narrowly missing other vehicles in the southbound lanes before crossing the median and crashing into the Kia.
The crash caused traffic gridlock that lasted for hours.
