Tottenham and Newcastle target Kim Min-jae

Soccer

Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United are among the clubs interested in signing Kim Min-jae from Bayern Munich in the summer transfer window, according to Fussball Daten. The report in the German media outlet has claimed that Juventus, AC Milan, Inter Milan and Fenerbahce are also monitoring the situation of the 29-year-old South Korea international central defender.

Regarding Tottenham and Newcastle’s interest in Kim, the report has noted: ‘Both English clubs have already signaled interest.

‘Newcastle in particular are considered a candidate who, thanks to their financial strength, could meet the demands of Bayern.’

While Bayern have not made a final decision on the future of Kim, the Bundesliga champions could be open to a sale.

The report has stated: ‘The leadership of FC Bayern Munich has not yet been lifted by the label unsaleable for Kim Min-jae – but it does not completely rule out a transfer either.

‘According to internal information, Bavaria, which is planning a large transfer budget for the summer of 2026, could be willing to part with some top earners.

Kim’s gross annual salary of around 16 million euros is a significant cost factor. If the planned reinforcements are implemented on the defensive, appropriate offers for him could be seriously considered.

The amount at which Bayern would be willing to talk for Kim Min-jae, who was hired by SSC Napoli for 50 million euros, is emerging.

‘It is reported that the Munich team will charge a transfer fee of between 35 and 40 million euros.

‘Although some sources mention an exit clause of 70 million euros, a sum of 35-40 million euros is considered a realistic compromise in view of the market situation and the age of the player.’
