Jordan James has impressed with Leicester City in the Championship this season, and he has been linked with a move to the Premier League.

According to a report from Sports Boom, Rennes would be prepared to sell the player permanently in the summer, and they could accept offers in the region of £20-25 million.

Jordan James would be a handy option

The French outfit will be hoping to sort out his sale quickly, and clubs like Everton and Crystal Palace are monitoring his situation.

The English clubs want to add more quality and depth in the middle of the park, and James could be an excellent addition. He has shown his quality in the Championship, and he has the ability to succeed in the Premier League as well.

The opportunity to move to the top flight will be exciting for the 21-year-old. He has 15 goal contributions in all competitions this season, and he could be a very useful option for Crystal Palace.

Both clubs need more creativity and goals in the middle of the park. They could help the 21-year-old improve and fulfil his potential.

Where next for James?

The asking price seems a bit steep for the young midfielder, and it remains to be seen whether they can negotiate a reasonable deal.

The player does not have a future at the French outfit, and they will look to get rid of him. Everton and Crystal Palace could look to capitalise on the situation and get the deal done.

Meanwhile, Leicester City are also interested in keeping the player beyond this season. However, James is not keen on a move to League One. The Foxes had the option to sign the player permanently at the end of the season, but the purchase option is irrelevant because the player does not want to play in the lower divisions.
