Eagles players are back at HQ. Well, some of them, at least.
The Philadelphia Eagles are among 20 NFL teams kicking off their voluntary offseason workout program today.
This marks the first time most players are back at the Jefferson Health Training Complex (formerly the NovaCare Complex) since the 2025 season ended. For offseason additions, it’s their first time working out with their new teammates at the Eagles’ headquarters.
We know at least one player who will NOT be in attendance for the beginning of these voluntary workouts and that is A.J. Brown, according to multiple reports. Brown hasn’t made a habit of skipping the Eagles’ workout program in the past, so, this development only adds credence to the reporting that he’s going to be traded. Just a matter of ‘when’ and not ‘if.’
The beginning of the offseason workout program does not include on-field drills, so, we’re not quite at the practice notes level yet. Here’s a full description of all three phases, with the current Phase One in bold:
Phase One consists of the first two weeks of the program with activities limited to meetings, strength and conditioning, and physical rehabilitation only.
Phase Two consists of the next three weeks of the program. On-field workouts may include individual or group instruction and drills, as well as “perfect play drills,” and drills and plays with offensive players lining up across from offensive players and defensive players lining up across from defensive players, conducted at a walk-through pace. No live contact or team offense vs. team defense drills are permitted.
Phase Three consists of the next four weeks of the program. Teams may conduct a total of 10 days of organized team practice activity, or “OTAs”. No live contact is permitted, but 7-on-7, 9-on-7, and 11-on-11 drills are permitted.
The Eagles’ OTA practices don’t begin until late next month. The exact dates for those: May 26-27, May 29, June 1-2, June 4. Only a limited number of those sessions will be open to media access, as will their two days of mandatory minicamp on June 9 and June 10. Then players and coaches will have off until training camp begins around late July.
