Audrey Beth Davis, Retired Entertainment Publicist, Dies at 82

Audrey Beth Davis, the retired entertainment publicist who worked with The Lippin Group, has died. She was 82.

Davis died Friday in Pennsylvania from natural causes, where she was surrounded by her family, friends and caregivers, The Lippin Group announced.

She was born in Brooklyn, New York, on Oct. 17, 1943, and graduated from Midwood High School in 1960. Before delving into her public relations career, Davis worked for Goodson Todman on The Match Game.

In the late ’70s, she joined Stone Associates and partner Dick Lippin brought her on to his new company, Lippin & Grant. Davis continued with the company through its shift to The Lippin Group in 1986, and remained with Lippin until 2008, when she retired as an executive vice president.

“Audrey was part of our founding team and when she retired it was a sad day,” Dick Lippin chairman and CEO of the Lippin Group, said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter. “She was a wonderful, loving woman and a consummate professional.”

Throughout her career in entertainment public relations, Davis’ focus centered in on television, leading her to work on a multitude of titles over the years. Some of the shows she lent her talents to include beloved favorites such as The Golden Girls; Empty Nest; The Love Boat; Law & Order; Law & Order: Special Victims Unit; Law & Order: Criminal Intent; and the Emmy Award-winning CBS miniseries Scarlett.

Survivors include her sister Rhonda and her husband Jim; sister Sharon; niece Rebecca and her husband Konrad; nephew Hank and his wife Karen; and her great nieces and nephews Jake, Sarah, Zoe and Hannah. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to St. Francis Home.
