Manchester United forward Amad is set to get another run-out at Everton’s impressive new Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Our no.16 helped Michael Carrick’s side pull off a superb 1-0 away win, when playing a competitive men’s game at the venue for the first time, back in February.

Benjamin Sesko scored the only goal of the game, while Amad was denied by a clearance from James Tarkowski, after his first-half effort beat Toffees keeper Jordan Pickford.

Amad has not had to wait long before his next appearance at the Bramley-Moore Dock ground, as Ivory Coast are facing Scotland in a friendly there, on Tuesday.

The 19:30 BST kick-off is actually billed as a home game for the African side, who are expected to perform well in the World Cup finals this summer.

Scotland will meet Noussair Mazraoui‘s Morocco in Group C, in the big tournament, so coach Steve Clarke views this as ideal preparation for the Foxborough encounter on 19 June.

“We wanted to face African opposition before we play Morocco in the summer and I’m sure Ivory Coast will give us a really stern test,” he commented.

“I anticipate six or seven changes. There will be quite a lot of changes and there are some personnel I want to see on the pitch, so it’ll be a little bit different to the team that played today [Saturday].”

Scotland lost 1-0 at home to Japan at the weekend, with ex-Red Scott McTominay hitting the woodwork early on, while Ivory Coast defeated South Korea 4-0 in Milton Keynes.

Amad came off the bench to supply an assist for Wilfrid Singo in stoppage time.

Amad represented Ivory Coast in Milton Keynes over the weekend.

Of course, the 23-year-old has played in Scotland, after a loan spell at Rangers earlier in his career, and this should be another opportunity for him to showcase his talents, with his country drawn with Ecuador, Germany and Curacao in Group E this summer.

Meanwhile, Carrick’s men are not in action again until Monday 13 April, when we take on Leeds United at Old Trafford.
