Survivor 50’s Charlie Davis on Dee Valladares, Rizo Velovic Alliance

Mike White Says He Was “Blindsided” by ‘Survivor 50’ Elimination

There was more bad blood than met the eye.

As it turns out, Survivor 50 contestant Charlie Davis may have been wrong to assume that fellow castaway Rizo Velovic—who returned to the milestone season less than two weeks after completing season 49—was without any alliances on the islands of Fiji.

Indeed, the self-professed Taylor Swift fan revealed that Rizo’s season 49 ally Sophi Balerdi may have connected him with season 45 winner Dee Valladares before filming.

“I know Dee had a FaceTime before the season with Rizo, this is what I heard,” Charlie told Page Six in an interview published March 26. “I think [they met] through Soph because they’re both in Miami.”

And the 28-year-old alleged that Rizo’s pre-game connection may have “played into” alliances within their tribe.

“If I were Dee,” he continued, “I’d be like, ‘Oh, wow. I have this pre-game relationship with Rizo and no one else has that because no one else would have any way of getting in touch with him or knowing he was on 50.’”

In recent episodes, Charlie had been gunning to target Rizo after learning that the RizGod had not voted for Sophi to win season 49. Ultimately, though, Dee and Rizo, alongside tribemates Cirie Fields and Kamilla Karthigesu, blindsided Charlie by voting him out during the March 25 episode.

However, despite their contentious division, Charlie admitted there is not any real bad blood with Rizo.

“Obviously based off what people have seen, they’re like, ‘Oh, man, you must hate this Rizo’s guy’s guts,’” he told Entertainment Weekly in an interview published March 26. “But I was like, ‘No, I don’t. I don’t hate Rizo.’ I mean, maybe out there I had some island beef with him, but even on the island we shared some fun moments and good moments of connection.”

Charlie concluded, “So no, I don’t have hatred towards Rizo. But it was definitely funny watching.”

E! News has reached out to reps for Rizo and Dee for comment and hasn’t heard back.
