In a video shared online, Zubby Michael appeared to joke about her success while they were on what looked like a film set.

The actor suggested that by already owning property and cars, she might discourage a future husband.

She has already scared away her potential husband. She already owns a house and a car, so what will the husband buy?” he said.

Reacting to the comment, the 38-year-old actress said her focus is on building her life first before entering a relationship.

She added that she hopes to eventually be with someone who is also stable and has achieved something for himself.

Rachael Okonkwo stressed that money should not be the deciding factor in marriage.

She questioned why she did not get married earlier in life when she was still struggling to make ends meet.

“The idea is to be purposeful before partnership. Where I’m coming from is very dark, so I’m not looking for a poverty-alleviation relationship.

“I want to find myself and be with a man who has also found himself,” she said.

If being poor is a yardstick for finding a good husband, why didn’t I get married when I was hustling, when I was roasting corn?”

Rachael Okonkwo started acting at a young age but moved into dancing when roles were hard to find.

She later returned to acting in Nollywood and rose to fame in 2014 after playing the lead role of Nkoli in *Nkoli Nwa Nsukka*.
